Rainbows shine through the rain

Against all the odds, Battle brownies managed to get 288 polyanthus in their flower bed on Saturday, November 9.

After attempting to wait for the rain to stop long enough for plant with the Rainbows (three weeks later than planned) they had no option but to put them in during a downpour which lasted the whole time

The team of planters consisted of Deborah Latter (Violet), 1st Battle Rainbows Leader, ‘Mr Violet’ her husband, one brave Rainbow (Daisy) her even braver mum (Jo Pietroni, ‘Peach’).

As always, with thanks to sponsor Trevor Henning and to Tim Gowland from Great Park Farm for providing the plants and donating the compost.
