She is trying to raise £250,000 to fund a series of ‘healing journeys’ across the globe, in a bid to natural medicines and healing techniques.

The music event was the idea of Lauran’s friend Natalie Kinsella and DJ Melinki (Sonny Symes), owner of Sky’s the Limit Recording Studio and DJ School in Hastings.

Natalie said: “We have made music and put on club nights together for the last five years. When we heard about what Lauran was trying to do, we wanted to find a way to help and support her.

“Lauran has always supported our music and club nights so we thought it was only fitting that we put on a night specially for her and to raise awareness for her brilliant cause.

Lauran explained: “I was told I only had months to live. I was offered only harsh treatments such as radiotherapy.

“I decided against the use of all synthetic medicines and am now on a natural healing journey as I believe I can find total healing through the nurturing of mind, body and soul, using an immersion of natural medicines and techniques.”

The event on October 16 runs from 9pm - 3.30am.

People can expect a wide range of electronic music, ranging from old school hip hop and funk, to house music to drum and bass with world class DJs and performers and a massive selection of the best local talent. Tickets are available for £6 from www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Hastings/Grand-Elektra/Rave-for-Lauren.
