THE Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare, at Ringmer, will again be entering a team in the forchcoming Brighton Marathon.
There are still a limited number of places to ‘Run for Raystede’ in the event on April 15.
Last year the centre’s participants raised more than £4,000 and this year they hope to beat that record.
Raystede’s Chief Executive Nigel Mason, who will be a Raystede Runner himself, said: “I was really inspired by the efforts of our ‘Raystede Runners’ last year and although I’m getting a bit of an ol’ codger now, I’m determined to make my first and possibly last marathon a success!
“We have a limited number of spaces left for people to become ‘Raystede Runners’, but I hope others will want to join me, getting a little fitter and raising vital finds for a very good cause.”
