Record entries for Bognor Prom

Entries to Bognor Regis' biggest sporting event are again heading for another record.

The number of competitors already entered into the Observer-backed Bognor Prom 10k road race with a month to go is ahead of that in previous years.

The 2008 race attracted 1,509 entries '“ just 20 short of the previous year's best '“ and the number of finishers at 1,312 was the most ever along with the number who lined up at the start.

The race's charity partner, the Chestnut Tree children's hospice, also has entry forms. The 2009 race will follow the traditional route along the seafront to Felpham and back.
