RECYCLE YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE

Residents of Lewes District have a few days left to recycle their Christmas trees.

Recycling points are open until Lewes District Council is urging them to do so by Saturday.

Christmas trees can be taken to the following recycling points:

Lewes:Phoenix car park

Newhaven: Bay View car park

Peacehaven: Piddinghoe Avenue car park

Seaford: Richmond Road and Buckle car parks.

Residents should ensure that all decorations have been removed. Please do not place trees in plastic bags. Artificial trees cannot be recycled.

People who have shredders at home have the option of putting their Christmas trees in compost bins once they have been shredded.
