The bells will be ringing and the chestnuts roasting once again when the traditional Christmas market at Herstmonceux returns.

The Spirit of Christmas market will take place on December 7 from 12 noon.

The Christmas market has been relaunched after the success of the local produce market which takes place every first Saturday of the month.

The Christmas market will include a number of local stall holders, offering food fare, golden gifts, a visit from St Nicholas on horseback, the Anna Coals Choir and the Christmas lights big switch on.

The market has been brought to the village, by the newly formed Herstmonceux Business Association (HBA).

The HBA is the new business voice for Herstmonceux, Windmill Hill and Cowbeech.

The HBA’s aim is to encourage local buying, encourage business growth in the area, support businesses of all types, and negotiate opportunities to support businesses and seek out grant funding, where available.
