Repairs started to Bognor library roof

Essential roof repairs have begun at Bognor Regis Library.

The work will last for five weeks. It will see the flat roof on the original part of the building replaced.

Leaks have been appearing and action is needed by the county council to make the London Road building weatherproof for the autumn.

During the work, the disabled car parking bays have been shifted. Part of the car park has also been fenced off for the safe removal of building materials.

Brad Watson, in charge of the county council's communication policies, said: "During the work there will be some noise and smell from the asphalt on the roof, so we apologise for any inconvenience.

However, all parts of the library will still be accessible while the roof is being repaired."

More details are available from the library's staff on 01243 864638.
