Resident of the Month has helped raise £130k for blindness charity

Advanta's most recent Resident of the Month award has been given to Daniel Brookbank for his services to the local community.

Through his involvement with East Sussex Association of Blind and Partially Sighted People Daniel has helped to raise more than £130,000 of vital funding for this worthy cause.

Daniel is also chairman of the Pevensey Senior Support Group which helps to look after the welfare of older residents in the area.

Also, Daniel has been instrumental in his efforts to successfully save the Pevensey Bay library from impending closure.

Malcolm Toghill was delighted to present this award to Daniel for his many achievements.

The Resident of the Month Award was introduced to recognise unsung heroes in the local community and is jointly sponsored by Advanta Chartered Accountants and The Eastbourne Herald.

As part of his award, Daniel will also receive a complimentary meal for two at top local restaurant The Channel at West Rocks Hotel on Eastbourne seafront.
