Residents help clean-up village
NORTHIAM residents Lynn and Tony Pomfret have been praised by the Conservation Society for cleaning and tidying up the bench, bus stop and telephone box on Hastings Road at Horns Cross.
Chairman Mervyn Hayes said: “This area was overgrown and they have done a sterling job in cleaning it all up.”
He added: “The Society has contacted BT to ask if it can re-paint the red telephone boxes in the village which are in need of a little care.”
