Earlier in the year the residents, chefs and activities team decided it would be lovely to have a Tea Party to celebrate the event and, of course, you can’t have a birthday without a cake!
So the chefs and the ladies and gentleman who live at Westlake put their aprons on and started to bake.

Liz Higson, general manager, said: “It is always exciting when something out of the ordinary happens.
“Of course we always celebrate all the events that happen throughout the year to maintain a good level of variety in our residents day to day lives.
“And of course every resident gets to celebrate their own birthday with cake! Some of them even remember the day the queen was born especially two of our ladies who are over 105!”
