Residents urged to turn out for Arun house-building meeting

VILLAGERS are being urged to turn out in force at a crunch meeting next week, when Arun councillors will make their final decision on how many homes should be built in the district, and where.

The outcome of Wednesday’s full council meeting will be followed with the greatest interest by people living in Angmering, where 700 homes look set to be allocated, and in the Barnham/Eastergate/Westergate area, with a proposed 2,000-home development.

A further 1,000 are earmarked for the West Bank at Littlehampton, although these would be built towards the end of the period covered by the local plan, which runs up to 2029.
