The club recognised that Halloween in the UK is now a lot bigger than it was ten years ago and said the residents of Bramley Green in Angmering definitely bring it to life.

This year, the houses were dressed up with everything from exquisite pumpkin carving to sound effects and a lighting show.

Some residents dressed up as mummies and walked around while others dressed up a zombie car that paraded around.

Fiona Rose, club press officer, said: “As part of this wonderful spooky night, Avian Commercial Drones in Arundel teamed up with us to fly skeleton Bob over the green. Skeleton Bob was wearing a lovely long blue wig and a white dress. The sight was fun and very eerie.

“This year the fire brigade was also driving around handing sweets out to the little trick or treaters who were all dressed up in the most amazing costumes. The effort made by the villagers and the visitors was fantastic.”

Golden Pumpkin Award winner Amanda Price, who has lived on Bramley Green for some time, was a real performer. Her house was covered in spooky images and there was a wonderful front window display.

Fiona added: “We knew she was our winner. We later found out she was also the lady who started this wonderful evening years ago and it has since grown.

“Our wonderful hosts at Angmering Manor were superb and also put on a great show. The community feel was fantastic and the children were all buzzing.

“We were proud to be part of this event and hope to do it next year. Although we are looking to give two more prizes as the competition is fierce, start a little earlier and include surrounding houses.

“We are always looking for anyone wishing to join us and take part in community events.”
