Restaurant operators have a week to register

Any town company keen to be involved in any aspect of the project in Hotham Park – from designing, building or operating - has until next Thursday (April26).

Consultant Colliers International is managing the registration process on behalf of Arun District Council.

It has received ‘some’ formal expressions of interest from firms and individuals wanting to be involved in bringing indoor dining to the park.

Colliers’ director Anthony Shapland said: “We have been very pleased with the response to the marketing of the restaurant/cafe opportunity in Hotham Park. It’s not too late and we would welcome the opportunity to speak to anyone who is interested.

“This type of project is quite rare and we want as many expressions as possible to enable the council to have the most appropriate partner for Hotham Park.”

Norman Dingemans, Arun’s cabinet member for economic and cultural development, added: “Hotham Park is a unique environment.

“We think it’s an inspiring place for a new venture that will not only cater for the thousands of people who visit the park every year but draw many more to it as well. We’d love to work with a local company or companies to make our vision a reality.”
