Ricardo staff set tasks to help in the community

Staff took part in Give and Gain Day on Friday, working on three projects for good causes.

The event is organised by Business in the Community as a global celebration of the power and potential of employee volunteering. It sees thousands of people across the globe spend a working day volunteering for good causes in their community.

One Ricardo team went to Worthing to work at the Kamelia Kids Children’s Centre, helping to redecorate the facility and improve the environment for staff and children.

In Shoreham, a second provided a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) event for pupils at Shoreham Academy. In this fun event, the students were given master classes on aerodynamics and buoyancy, and were able to see some of the cars Ricardo has worked on over the years.

The third team travelled to Brighton to work at Stanmer Community Garden, helping maintenance of the greenhouses, planting out and weeding.
