Rider airlifted tohospital after falling from horse

THE Sussex Air Ambulance was called to help a woman who had fallen from a horse at The Suttons in Camber on Sunday.

It took the pilot, doctor and paramedic 15 minutes to get to the scene beforethey landed on a beach.

Spokesperson Jamie Cheshire said: “The Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) was tasked to a female who had fallen from a horse and had a reduced level of consciousness.

“Upon our arrival, it was established that the patient had sustained minor head and wrist injuries.

“The patient, who was in her 30s, was then airlifted to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford in Kent - the journey taking about 20 minutes.”
