ST MARY’S: Revd Beth continues to be on restricted duties this month to allow her to rest her back. As a result, the 8am Holy Communion/Matins service will not take place on Sundays in January. The mid-week Communion Service is also being rested this month. If this is something you may wish to attend on a Tuesday or Wednesday, Revd Beth has suggested three times and there is a poll sheet in church. The ladies will be enjoying one of Joan’s wonderful continental breakfasts tomorrow (Saturday). It is a lovely opportunity to spend a relaxed hour or so with breakfast and an interesting speaker to set you up for the day. On Sunday at 4pm the Families Tea Time Service, the theme being the Friends of Jesus, there will be a fishy theme and some activities as well as songs and a story. It’s great fun for families of all ages and we finish off with tea and cake. The MU Eucharist Service and AGM takes place on Tuesday from 7.30pm. New members are always welcome. We meet monthly (the third Tuesday) at 7.30pm in the church room and have a full programme of speakers.

BARN DANCING: This coming Tuesday is the Christmas party and all are most welcome to come and dance at the Caburn Pavilion (RFC) to live music. Please bring a plate of finger food to share, a sense of humour and comfortable shoes for dancing. £4 entrance and cheap drinks from the bar. First dance starts promptly at 8pm. If you haven’t been before don’t be shy, as we are a friendly fun loving bunch, so please join us to keep fit, laugh and enjoy the music.
