CHRISTIAN AID: Thank you to all collectors and for all donations towards Christian Aid. Our village collection this year came to a stunning £1703.60.

ST MARY’S: This weekend marks the start of a new era at St Mary’s as we officially welcome Lucy Hollingsworth as our curate. Lucy will be ordained Deacon at Chichester Cathedral on Saturday and will officially join the church (On Sunday morning 10am service). There will be a special evening service (6.30pm) with Lucy’s family and friends from Barcombe and beyond joining the Ringmer congregation to mark the occasion. St Mary’s family of scarecrows have already attracted a lot of attention and they will be on display again this weekend as part of the Ringmer Primary School PTA Scarecrow Festival. You can still buy a programme from the Café, Pet Store or Anchor at £3. All proceeds to the PTA funding vital projects at the primary school. An amazing £450 was raised at the Mothers Union Coffee Morning last week: Despite the gloomy weather, many visitors enjoyed the Booth’s garden and it was a lovely occasion. The money goes to MU projects overseas and in the UK helping vulnerable women and families.
