Ringmer

HISTORY STUDY GROUP: The meeting this evening (Friday) in the village hall at 7.45pm will be Making Modern Ringmer (Part 2). At our October 2018 meeting we covered the story of the development of modern Ringmer from 1918 up to 1948. This month we will continue the story, looking at the events that led up to the dramatic expansion of village housing in the 1960s and 1970s and their consequences for the physical and social fabric of the village. We shall end by looking at the changes that have already occurred in the 21st century, and then take a peek into the future. Our guides will be John Bleach, Stephen van Dulken and John Kay.
