Road closed by falling roof tiles in Eastbourne

Part of Eastbourne town centre was closed yesterday (April 4) after loose roof tiles began falling to the pavement.

A crew from Eastbourne fire station was called to the incident on Terminus Road at 4.57pm after tiles were seen falling from a rooftop.

Firefighters set-up a cordon and used an aerial rescue platform to make the roof safe.

The road was reopened at 5.32pm.
