Rob Brydon makes a special visit to Worthing

A WELL-KNOWN comedian and actor paid a visit to Worthing to see the Elvis-themed shop and museum.

Rob Brydon, famous for his roles in television series Gavin And Stacey and Little Britain, browsed through the Elvis collectables at the shop in Montague Place.

The Elvis Shop and Museum owner, Andrew Hearn, said: “Elvis has a great many famous fans and many are collectors, too.

“Rob contacted me a few days ahead of his visit and asked if it would be okay if he took a look at what’s on offer.

“Of course, I was delighted to see him and we talked about Elvis for a couple of hours. Rob’s a huge fan and he subscribes to our Elvis magazine, produced here in Worthing.”

Andrew said Rob enjoyed fish and chips on the beach with his wife and son before he made his way to the Elvis shop. “He was very impressed with the town, especially the weather,” Andrew added. “It was a beautiful, sunny day and I know we can expect him to visit the town on a regular basis from now on.”
