Christmas Capers: Last Friday 2nd Dec saw a good turnout for Christmas Capers. The village was buzzing and people enjoying the various offerings in the shops and houses. With the children's lantern parade, merry go round ride and Morris Dancers it was a busy evening.

CHRISTMAS FAYRES: This Saturday (10/12 ) see’s 2 Christmas Fayre’s in the village.

Robertsbridge Community College, Knelle Road, are having theirs at the school from 12-4. FREE ENTRY . There will be festive food & drink, crafts and decorations, Christmas gifts and much more

Also there is a Holistic Christmas Fayre at The Village Hall, Station Road from 10-4. Stalls inc Reflexology, Indian head massage, Arbon skin products just to name a few . There is also a raffle and refreshments with all proceeds going to ‘ Warming up the homeless ‘.

The service this week: Sunday December 11th, Advent 3, is 11am Holy Communion at St Mary’s, Salehurst.

The following week, December 18th will be the annual Christingle service, 4pm at St Mary’s. This is a special service for all the family when the children carry their Christingle oranges with candles around the church finishing up at the crib. Please come if you can.

Robertsbridge United Football Club: is having a prize bingo night on Saturday 10th Dec at The Robertsbridge Club from 7pm. There will also be a raffle, hot dogs

This is a fundraiser for Robertsbridge United Junior Football Club. No ticket sales in advance, just arrive from 6.30 for hot dogs. There is a chance to win, in the raffle, a place on Active Primary Sports 2day Festive Football or Sporty Mania Camp .

FOOTBALL: Injuries and illness saw The Bridge 2nd team having to cancel their home fixture against Wittersham II in the Macron East Sussex Football League Division 5 last week with 4 players moving up to the 1st team. Tomorrow the 1st team are at home to St.Leonards Social while the 2nd team are away to Wittersham II with both matches K.O. 2p.m. The Bridge are looking for new players to strengthen their squads so if you are interested please contact either Mark Smith at [email protected] or Ian Austin at [email protected]. or Alan Apps at [email protected]. We train every Tuesday 8-9p.m. at Robertsbridge College.

FRIDAY DARTS: We had a very good win last week against The Old King John in the Jubilee Knockout Cup winning the darts 4-3 with victories for Gary Honeysett, Dave Goodsell, Andy York and Guy Ballard with 100+ scores for Gary[140, 121, 100 x 2], Kevin Dixon[140 x 2], Dave[100 x 2] and Pete Giles[100]. We won pushpenny 3-0 with wins for Michael Stone/Dave Fortsch, Coral Giles/Dave Goodsell and Ted Gioldfinch/Alan Apps with Dave Fortsch and Coral scoring ‘goldwatches’.
