Robertsbridge has Got Talent: is tonight at 7pm at the Church Room in Fair Lane. £5 entry on the door with children going in free.

Carol Services: Tomorrow Saturday 20th December at Holy Trinity in Hurst Green starting at 4pm. Sunday 21st December at 4pm is the Candlelit Carol Service and Christingle at St Mary’s Salehurst. Children and families are welcome at both services. Advent 4 this Sunday at 9am is Holy Communion in the Church Room Fair Lane and then at St Mary’s, Salehurst at 11am for Choral Matins. There is no midnight mass on Christmas Eve, but a service at 6pm.

Robertsbridge Club Christmas Events: Starting off the Christmas celebrations with Christmas Lunch available from 1pm – 3pm on Sunday 21st December with the promise of a three course festive feast. Booking is advisable on 880673. Then on the evening of Sunday the Grand Draw is taking place for the Club and then the Bonfire Society Draw is happening with the chance to win one of the 3 Luxury Hampers. Christmas Eve. there will be a Disco to see in Christmas and then for New Years Eve. The band Vexed will be playing for the evening and to see in 2015. This is going to be optional fancy dress with a prize for the best fancy dressed male and female. If you are in costume there will be free entry.

Parish Walk: this will be taking place on Saturday 27th December starting from the Salehurst Halt after a coffee at 10.30am. Walk off the Christmas Pud and any excesses you may have had over the Christmas and raise funds for charity in the process. This event is in aid of the Christian Aid Ebola Crisis Appeal with a cost of £5 for adults and children are free. After the walk you return to the Halt for some delicious soup. Ed Griffin is leading the walk and for further details you can ring 07815200603.

LADIES DARTS: We played at bottom placed Ticehurst Club, who only had 4 players, last Monday[8th]. Alice Hodges, Jackie Danaher, Eileen Morgan and a forfeited game gave us a 4-1 lead after the singles while the match was won after wins for Steph Goldsmith/Carol Apps and Eileen/Alice in the doubles. Carol/Steph/Dawn Mitchell and another forfeited game gave us an 8-3 victory. There were high scores for Alice[130,103,80,72], Dawn[90,74], Eileen[84,78], Steph[78,71], Carol[76,74] and Jackie[75,70]. We take a break now until the New Year.

FOOTBALL: The torrential rain on Thursday/Friday put paid to both our matches last week. Tomorrow the 1st team are at home to Battle Baptists while the 2nd team are away to Sandhurst II both matches K.O. 2p.m.
