Robertsbridge

Well what a brilliant Bonfire evening last Saturday. Weather was kind for a change, which always makes it so much more enjoyable. Many thanks need to go out to Sam Moon and all the bonfire society members and non-member helpers that put the event on. A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes throughout the year to culminate in the village as a whole having a great night in November. If you would like to help out for next year by donating or putting on an event or by becoming a member please contact Sandie at the Floral Boutique who is the hub of village communication and she will point you in the right direction. Well done to Sandie for her window display last week that depicted Robertsbridge Bonfire with all the different strands of the society.

Thanks definitely to Robertsbridge Club for allowing the use for meetings and celebrations throughout the year. The next fund raiser will be the Christmas Draw with tickets being available shortly, especially at the Floral Boutique where on late night shopping `Christmas Capers ` I will be there to sell you a few of hopefully winning tickets. This year it is on Friday December 6th. You will also be able to get them from Bonfire members.

St Mary’s Christmas Market will be held on Saturday November 30th in the Church Room, Fair Lane between 10.30am – 2.30pm. There will be good quality Christmas presents, cakes, vegetables, furnishings and books. Father Christmas will be making a visit to the children’s corner. Why not go along and try your luck at the raffle, bottle stall, and tombola and have some fun. Then why not sample some of the delicious home made soup that will be available in the refreshment corner. This event is always very popular and one not to be missed.
