Tomorrow evening Saturday 29th March at Robertsbridge Club you can enjoy the sounds of `Devils Queen` from 8pm.
Coming up in the next week is the first ever Robertsbridge Literary Festival. This is being organised by the Robertsbridge Arts Partnership and will be celebrating modern and historical writers of East Sussex.

Hide AdFirstly on 3rd April at the Ostrich starting at 7.30pm is Geoff Hutchinson presenting the life of Rudyard Kipling through verse and readings.
4th April is Charlotte Moore at Robertsbridge Hall at 7.30pm. Charlotte is an acclaimed author on Love and War in East Sussex.
Then at 9.30pm at Robertsbridge Club is the RX Shantymen from Hastings.
On Saturday 5th Kevin Graal will be telling children’s stories for the Under 5`s at 11am, and then at 12.30pm for the 5-11 year olds. This is being held at the United Reformed Church on the High Pavement and each session cost £3.

Hide AdAt 5pm at Robertsbridge Hall Steve Peak, who is a local historian will be talking on Robert Tressell`s Ragged Trousered Philanthropist, and finally at Robertsbridge Hall at 8pm Alan Judd will be presenting First World War Poets. Entry for each event is £5 unless otherwise stated and tickets can be purchased from Judges Bakery or by emailing Jane Tritton on [email protected] or ring Jane on 880248.
Booking is strongly advised as it is thought these events will be very popular.
Sunday 30th March is Mothering Sunday and the village caters for all types of gifts for this occasion. Please support your local businesses.
The Aviation Society Museum will be re-opening after its winter break, and will be open from 2pm – 5pm every last Sunday of the month throughout the year until October. There are new exhibits on display with the emphasis on WW1. Entry and parking is free but any donations are gratefully received, as all monies made go to the upkeep of this unique museum. Light refreshments are available on site. The Museum is at Bush Barn on the A21 slightly North of Robertsbridge Village with the postcode TN325PA. LADIES DARTS: Next Monday[31st] is Finals Night at Robertsbridge Club 8p.m. where Alice Hodges will be competing in the final of the Singles Knockout.
FRIDAY DARTS: Tonight is Pushpenny Pairs Knockout with Dave Goodsell/Keith Stone at Robertsbridge club while Michael Stone/Ted Goldfinch and Alan Apps/Dave Fortsch are at Mountfield Club 8p.m.
FOOTBALL: Last week The Bridge ended leaders Catsfield’ unbeaten record and this week they ended second placed Parkfield’ unbeaten record with a 3-1 win at Eastbourne Sports Park. The Bridge started well with a goal in the 1st minute from lively Dominic Whittaker but the hosts responded with several shots but could not find a way past Bridge keeper Nick Townsend until the 25th minute when Townsend mis-judged a lob. The Bridge hit back 2 minutes later when Whittaker rounded off a good move and the woodwork saved the hosts several times before the break. The second period was dominated by The Bridge with man of the match Dan Smith solid in the heart of the defence and eventually the pressure told on the hosts when Michael Stone had an easy tap in after 71 minutes for a covincing 3-1 victory to go third in Division 6. Tomorrow the 1st team are away to Ninfield United in the ADA East Sussex Football League Premier Division while the 2nd team are at home to F.C.Westridge in Division 6 with both matches K.O. 3p.m.
STOOLBALL : We start training on Thursday 3rd April at the Cricket Ground from 6.30p.m.
