There is to be an exhibition of Film and Art by the Young People in our community. It is on between 23rd – 27th September 6pm – 8pm, 2nd – 7th October 6pm-8pm, and on October 4th between 3pm – 5pm. This is being held at Robertsbridge Youth Centre and is Young People talking to the community through their Art. The opening and launch is on 23rd September and it will be the time to show your support for our young people by going along to see what they have to say. This next piece has been taken from an article written by Sam Gibson,

Paige Weatherson and Tiff Wares. `We know some of you think we’re a nuisance. The purpose of this exhibition is to attempt to show you, the public that stereotypes some of you may have do not apply to all young people in the community. (The stereotypes that we have of you may change too.) We hope to show you that we can achieve things and that we work hard and that are good at things we do: whether it’s Art, Singing, Photography, Directing or Acting, we are all good at different things. `

If you would like more details on this Exhibition please contact Ian Price on 07876037608 or [email protected]

Stoolball: Our final tournament of the season was at Brightling Ladies on Sunday[8th] where we only had 7 players and one of those was her first ever game of stoolball, however our young side competed well but lack of experience meant that we failed to win any of our three matches but we learned a lot from the games and hopefully the side will be better next year. Our sesason draws to a close on Sunday 22nd September 2013 when we have our Presentation and Fun Day at the Cricket Ground at 1p.m. with drinks and refreshments for all the players and supporters so why not come and join in the fun and see the oldest game in Sussex played.
