Robertsbridge Bonfire burns bright in Sussex Bonfire calendar
Robertsbridge Bonfire Society gave a traditional big bang to the bonfire season with a spectacular display last night.
Hundreds lined the streets of the village - despite transport difficulties - to enjoy a clear view of the procession and fireworks.
The effigy reflected a topical political theme, showing Vladimir Putin basking in the international spotlight.
