The judging panel includes famous classical singer Julia Gooding, Leonie Sian from Pineapple Dance Studios and well known local hypnotist comedian Alistair Martin.

Mum of two Jess, 30, has been proactive in the village for a number of years raising money and organising events for charities and good causes.

In the last three years she has given her time to help a local man who was suffering from cancer and has raised over £1,000 for the Fellowship of St Nicholas.

She has also helped the local primary school with music and singing events.

Her friend Rose Wangyal said: “Jess has hosted and arranged evenings of entertainment in the local club to raise funds for charities close to her heart

“She gives singing and dance lessons to local children at a really cheap rate and for free if she knows the family are strapped for cash, despite herself being on a limited and tight budget.

“The children who live near her are always at her house making use of her children’s toys and she usually feeds them all too.

“Jess puts in so much time and effort all the good things she does and I do not feel she is recognised as much as she should be for it all.”

Flair, the Robertsbridge Youth Festival of Arts, aims to nurture and develop an artistic appreciation among young people who live and learn in Robertsbridge. It will introduce them to a wide range of arts including music, literature, dance and visual art.
