Robot teachers are the winning idea

After an inspirational activity day by the '˜7billionIDEAS' Team, asking children to generate and develop world-changing ideas, Loxwood School pupils voted for the best idea in the school.

The winner was Educlasset – a mobile classroom, complete with robot teachers, transported by rocket to those places around the world that lack schools – conceived by Ellen, Charlotte and Lottie from Year 6. The Loxwood team were then challenged to develop their idea by building a prototype, producing posters and a presentation – and to join finalists from nine other schools at the #thinkBIG2016 Final hosted by The Weald in Billingshurst. On the day the Loxwood team presented their idea to the judges (from The Billingshurst Lions, The Weald School and the ‘7billionIDEAS’ Team) who awarded them 1st Place. Head teacher Ms Kitson said: “The school are delighted that the winning team’s idea was inspirational and demonstrates a level of social responsibility and thoughtfulness that makes me and the school very proud.”
