Roll up for Good Friday marbles

Approximately 125 players from pubs and clubs in the town have entered to compete for victory in the marbles matches and the fancy dress competitions.

Matches start at 10am, with prizes to be presented at noon at the close of the event.

Teams cannot enter on the day, but an ‘all-comers’ board will be available for spectators of all ages, with a prize for the highest score on the board.

The popular children’s Easter bonnet competition will take place at 11.30am, with 1,000 free marbles up for grabs in the children’s marble scramble immediately afterwards.
