Ben Klinkenbergh, who works as a personal trainer in Haywards Heath, will be undertaking a ‘Burpee Mile’ in the town on July 30 to raise money for the charity Oscar’s Wish Foundation.

The burpee, or squat thrust, is a full body exercise used in strength training and as an aerobic exercise performed in four steps.

Ben hit the headlines in April when he got down on one knee to pop the question after he and girlfriend Hannah Jennings both completed the 26-mile Brighton Marathon. There were hugs and tears as she said Yes.

But, Ben is hoping his latest venture won’t be bringing any tears to his eyes as he takes on the strenuous feat later this month.

Money raised will go to Oscars Wish Foundation, a Sussex based not-for-profit organisation offering comfort and support to parents, family, siblings and friends who have experienced the devastating loss of a precious baby before, during or shortly after birth.
