Rooks stay as police derail plan to oust them

ROOKS in danger of losing their tree top home at Barnha, railway station have been saved thanks to a joint effort by Sussex Wildlife Trust and the police.

Plans by Network Rail to reduce horse chestnut trees in which the rooks are nesting by 30 percent will now be postponed until September providing the trees are not a public safety risk.
