Rotary Club’s arerevving up for nextClassic Car Show

The Rotary Club of Senlac - Rotarians living in and serving Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill and Rother - are going full speed ahead to bring a family treat for Father’s Day with Classic Cars for Classic Dads at Bodiam Recreation field, opposite Bodiam Castle, on June 21.

The event is the Rotarians’ 23rd Classic Car Show and promises to be bumper to bumper with around 400 cars, military and commercial vehicles and motorcycles and all round family entertainment.

There will be a full programme of entertainment from noon to 5pm, including Lumpy and the Lumpettes, Cinque Ports Lindy Hoppers, the Bodiam Concert Band and birds of prey demonstrations, various rides and a bouncy castle.

Refreshments include beer and ciders, a barbecue, tea, coffee, home-made cakes and snacks.

Entrance is £5 for adults, children and parking is free.

The Rotary Club of Senlac has raised more than £150,000 for local charities since the Classic Car Shows began. Last year’s event raised £20,000.
