‘Rottweiller’ attacks flock of sheep in Chiddingly

A LOOSE dog reported to be a rottweiller atttacked a flock of sheep - killing one of the animals and inuring another at Blakes Farm in Chiddingly, according to Sussex Police.

Police officers were called to the gruesome scene on the farmland along with a vet at 2pm on Sunday, February 6.

The sheep-killing dog was caught by police and taken to kennels until the owners were identified – the dog was reported to have no name tag.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “It is understood that the owners of the dog and of the sheep have made a financial agreement about costs for the death and injury, and no allegations of offences have been made by the sheep owners to police. The dog will be returned to its owners.”
