Other fundraising events include the Hastings half-marathon on March 15 when a large contingent from Row4Charity will be taking part.

A spokesman said: "The young and fit among us will run the race while those of us who are more mature will walk the course all in aid of The Stroke Association.

"If anyone would like to join us please e-mail and we will enter the team on block. All runners who raise a minimum of 10 will receive a free T shirt.

"Then on March 21 we will be holding a charity Bungee Jump at Bexhill College starting at 12 noon. Other attractions will be included for a fun day out for the whole family. To take part you will need to raise 50 in sponsorship (sponsor forms on request by e-mail). Numbers will be limited so get in quick."
