Rox placed in best free day out list

The Rox Music and Arts Festival has earned its place among the top free family days, according to a national Sunday newspaper.

Last weekend The Sunday People published an special eight page supplement entitled ‘101 FREE Family Days Out’ and the music extravaganza entered the charts at number 55.

A Rox spokesman said: “This is another first for Rox Music and Arts and it shows the festival is at last getting the recognition that it deserves.

“With a circulation exceeding 700,000 Rox are justifiably proud of this achievement.”

Another first this year will see the event going global.

Rox are planning to stream this year’s festival live on their website, a feat organisers believe to be the first for an event of 
its type.

Rox’s media team have hooked up with Zoom Broadband and Media on Demand in a bid to bring coverage of the two-day event to wherever you are.

The streaming will mean the festival will be able to reach as large an audience as possible, once again putting the festival and Bognor firmly on the map.

Excitement for the free event which will take place along the seafront and in the grounds of the Royal Norfolk on July 27 and 28.

The festival’s usual mix of fantastic music and plenty of fun for the family can be expected.

Last week it was revealed world-renowned soul DJ Dr Bob Jones will be performing at the stage on the town’s pier.

In his 45-plus years in the business, he has produced more than 40 artists including The Temptations, Terry Callier, Daryl Hall and Al Green, as well as running his own record labels.
