Rox '“ your chance to give it a go

Budding performers will get the chance to try their musical skills at a free session in Bognor Regis this weekend.

A team of young Rox volunteers has organised the occasion between 10am and 4pm on Sunday, December 7 at the University of Chichester's campus in Upper Bognor Road.

Its aim is to give those aged 11-19 the chance to try out drums, keyboards, guitars and music technology. There will also be opportunities for drama and fashion.

They have called the event Roxstock because they hope it will inspire young people to experience music and the arts.

Roxstock spokesman Fred Isles has been working on the project for some months with other volunteers.

"Roxstock will provide interactive workshops throughout the day which will allow young people to experience a number of artforms. We will then evaluate the demands for the various disciplines."
