Dizzy Ducklings Pre-School, based at North Bersted Community Centre, in Lakeland Avenue, had sent a beautiful handmade card to congratulate the royal couple on the birth of Princess Charlotte.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge replied two weeks ago with a picture card thanking the children for the card and sending their warmest thanks and best wishes.

Manager Jeanette Clapp said: “The children were excited about the birth of the royal princess and together we looked at pictures and books all about the royal family. The children even made crowns and tiaras to wear, too.

“So, as you can imagine, there was so much excitement at Dizzy Ducklings North Bersted Pre-school when we received our royal reply from Buckingham Palace.

“The children and the Dizzy Ducklings team were thrilled at their royal response. When we showed the children the card, one of them said ‘I will look for the baby princess when I go to London’ and another said ‘I know the Queen lives in a big castle’.

“We were tempted to send the royal couple an enrolment form for Prince George and Princess Charlotte to join us here at Dizzy Ducklings but we knew the distance would just be too great. However, if anyone else would like to find out more about our North Bersted or Rose Green pre-schools, please feel free to look at our website www.dizzyducklings.co.uk.”
