She said: “The naming competition was running in our local paper around the time of the birth of the Prince George. I considered proposing the new baby’s name but thought it was not appropriate, so I went for Cambridge instead – naming the new Lodge after his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”

Churchill Retirement Living specialise in the provision of purpose built apartments designed for older people.

The new development for the over 60s will comprise of 29 self-contained one and two bedroom apartments. The first apartments will be ready for occupation in early 2014.

A representative from Churchill Retirement Living said: “We are pleased to announce the name of our latest development in Worthing.
