'Royal' summons for girls to apply to be carnival Queen

ENTRY forms are now available for girls keen to play a leading role in this year's Bexhill Carnival, which takes place on Saturday, July 30 and features the theme 'music and musicals'.

Organisers are keen to recruit a carnival queen, deputy and two princesses from the 11 to 14 age group, and a junior princess aged seven to 10.

Entries will be judged at All Saints’ Church Hall, Sidley, from 2.30pm on Saturday, March 19 and advance notice of interest may be given to Pauline Bullock on 01424 211711.

Pick-up points for entry forms include the Bexhill-on-Sea Observer offices at 18 Sackville Road. Entries can be made at the judging event providing applicants arrive early enough to register their details.
