Runaway boy died from head injuries

A TEENAGE boy found injured in Haywards Heath, died five days later from head injuries, police have just revealed.

Max Weston (16) of Brighton died in hospital on December 6, five days after an incident in Haywards Heath.

He was with two other youngsters at about 9.45pm on December 1 when police approached them in Ditchling Road in the town.

It seemed he ran from officers who lost contact with him and he was later found hurt at the base of a wall near Ditchling Court, Sussex police said.

They now want to establish how Max came to be found at the base of the wall.
