Club member Lucy Roughly said: “This is for new runners who might not necessarily think how good it is for mental well being.

“Getting out there and getting exercise is great fun.”

The run is 15 minutes out and 15 minutes back.

Carol Grant, running club member said: “It doesn’t matter how slow or fast you are, so it’s great for people who want to walk.

“We start with a social warm up so it’s fine if you don’t do much running.

“We want people to come along if they think ‘I might enjoy that’.”
