Runway winches

Proposals by Bognor Regis fishermen for two winches to pull their boats up the beach are due to be approved by councillors this afternoon (Wednesday, November 26).

The three-tonne electrically-driven winches will be sited either side of the existing runway across the foreshore in the fishermen's area immediately east of the pier.

The winches will be bolted to thick concrete bases and protected in lockable cages.
