Rustington man receives serious head injuries in assault

The 54-year-old man had to be taken to Worthing Hospital following the assault in the street in Armada Way, Littlehampton, at about 11.50pm.

He was then transferred to Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre, in Haywards Heath, where police said he was currently conscious in ‘a serious but stable condition’.

His attacker is described as white, in his thirties, of stocky build with short hair.

Nothing was reported stolen.
