Rustington school to benefit from safety scheme

ROAD improvements starting on Monday (August 24) aim to make a Rustington school a safer place to be.

A School Safety Zone, consisting of new signs with orange flashing lights, an advisory 20 miles per hour speed limit and a red anti-skid road surface, will be installed at Georgian Gardens Primary School.

The 8,000 West Sussex County Council project is expected to take five days to complete, and work will be carried out between 7am and 7pm.

A spokesman for the council said: "It might be necessary to suspend some on street parking for short periods of time to allow the works to progress without disruption."
