Rustington Scouts’ trolley good result

SCOUTS enjoyed an Easter extravaganza at Rustington, raising thousands of pounds for their funds.

The 1st Rustington Scout Group ran a charity shop in The Street over the Easter holidays and in just those two weeks made an impressive £5,500.

During the fortnight’s opening, the Scouts also sold tickets for a raffle of supermarket goods in a trolley provided by Rustington’s Iceland food store, which brought in a further £1,033.

The winning tickets for the trolley raffle were drawn by Iceland manager Steve Buchan and the assistant manager Nicole Melvin. Mrs L. Tyler won the contents of the trolley and runners-up Mrs Attwater and Joan Oakley were each presented with hampers.

Scouts spokeswoman Liz Hammond thanked Store Property Ltd for the use of the vacant shop, Iceland for the loan of the trolley, Scouts’ parents and friends for donating groceries to the raffle and everyone who bought tickets for the draw.
