Rye antiques expertis set to help raisefunds for hospice

RYE auctioneer Kevin Wall is to play a key role in an Evaluation Day to help raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice.

The event, in Hastings next month, offers people the chance to have their antiques and collectables valued for £2 up to a maximum of five items.

Emma Bailey, from the Hospice, said: “Our experts will be available to give confidential and professional appraisals of paintings, silver, jewellery, ceramics, small pieces of furniture, militaria, collectibles, toys and books, the valuers are also happy to view photographs of larger items.

“All proceeds will go direct to St Michael’s Hospice, Hastings.”

Kevin Wall recently opened an auction gallery on the Rye Harbour Road following the closure of Rye Auction Gallery, at Rock Channel, last year.

Other experts include auction gallery owner Pippa Deeley and Sue Bower from Nelson House Antiques in Hastings Old Town.

The Valuation Day event will take place at St Michael’s Hospice new Donation Centre on Sunday 9th March, from 10am to 3pm, Queensway Avenue South, Queensway, St Leonards-on-Sea, TN38 9AG, adjacent to the Sussex Exchange restaurant.
