COFFEE MORNING: RYE Mayor John Breeds holds a coffee morning at the Town Hall on Saturday from 10am - noon in aid of Rye Scout’s new building project.

An earlier coffee morning held by the Mayor raised £250 for the Canterbury Oast Trust. The figure was reached with a donation from the Mayor from his Mayoral allowance.

NORMANS TALK

WELL known historian and author, and presenter of the TV series “Castles”, Dr Marc Morris will be speaking in Winchelsea on Saturday about the Norman invasion.

The talk is hosted by the Winchelsea Archaeological Society but is open to all. Entry is £4, but free to under-16s and members.

It starts at 3pm and takes place at the New Hall.

ART FAIR

RYE Arts and Crafts Fair takes place on Saturday at Rye Community Centre, Conduit Hill, from 11am - 5pm.

HALL SURVEY

RYE Town Council has ring-fenced £1,400 to pay for a structural survey of the Town Hall.

SKIN TALK

FERRY Road Health Centre and Rye Medical Centre Patient Participation Groups have joined forces to hold a special talk and question time about Skin Diseases and Management.

It takes place at Rye Community Primary School on Wednesday April 18 at 6pm for 6.30pm.

Speaking will be Dr. Mahendra Kondagari (M.B.B.S. & Diploma in Dermatology).

FREE LUNCH

MORE than 100 local senior citizens will be able to enjoy a free lunch and entertainment at Rye Community Centre on Sunday thanks to Rye Lions.

CAHRITY CONCERT

OPERA South East is holding a charity concert in Rye to help raise much needed funds for local charity ARRCC.

They perform at St Mary’s Church, Rye, on Sunday April 29 at 2.30pm.
