Rye church opens its doors

THERE was a warm welcome on offer for people when Rye Baptist Church held a special open day event on Saturday.

Visitors were encouraged to drop in and enjoy food, live music from the Highworth Folk Band from Ashford and a local harpist.

The event, at the Cinque Ports Street building, also included a flight simulation experience, childrens’ bouncy castle and a Sacred Space prayer booth.

Church members also put on displays of flowers and artwork.
