Rye estate in line for two awards

RYE’s Valley Park estate has been shortlisted for two of the property industry’s most prestigious awards.

It is for What House? ‘Best Small Developer 2012’ and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors: ‘Best Residential Development in South-East England 2012’

Gavin Thomas, chief executive of developers Aron Corp, said: ““We are proud and honoured to have been selected for these awards and to do well in them would confirm Valley Park as one of the best developments in the country.

““Only the very best developments are considered and the competition is fierce. The vast majority of nominations are projects by the best national house builders and to be included in this select group is very rewarding after our hard work in making Valley Park as good as it is.”

Stuart Bentley of Valley Park agents, Reeds Rains in Rye, said: “The high quality of the development with realistic prices and the effectiveness of the flood mitigation measures has resulted in substantial gains to the local community, especially those living nearby and this is the sort of thing which counts in these awards. We are sure Valley Park will do very well”

AronCorp say the nominations have been supported by endorsements from Rye and Rother District Council, Anthony Kimber PhD of REACT, the Environment Agency and the Romney Marsh Area Internal Drainage Board.

Judging of the What House? Awards will take place at the end of November and the RICS awards will be decided next Spring.
