Rye Galleryhas work by studentson display

WORK by students from Buckswood School at Guestling has gone on display at Rye Art Gallery.

An exhibition, entitled 14,709 miles travelled to here, showcases the work of local and international GCSE and A Level Art students.

It is running in the Machkechnie Room at the gallery until May 4.

The exhibition comprises of a mix of visual arts, from photography, painting, textiles, sculpture and 3D modelling.

The international influences are apparent with pieces such as a photographic social documentary of African villages, a Dutch study of European architecture and Chinese 3D illustration.

Head of Visual Art Clare Pasieka said of the exhibition “The collection features a diverse range of cultural influences in fine art, sculpture and photographic form. The International mix of students always adds a fascinating dimension to the art.”
